Introducing Alisa Korkhin
Born in Rehovot, Israel, Alisa started training at the age of twelve and fell in love with ballet thinking it is ‘the perfect combination of athleticism and artistry.’ As a teen, she decided that she wanted to pursue ballet professionally.
Alisa relocated to America training with the Boston Ballet and continued with Alexandra Koltun and Alex Lapshin. She accredits her professional success to SLK Ballet in New York City under the direction of Sara Knight. Alisa then joined the Israel Ballet in Tel Aviv, Israel and accepted a contract with Teatrul de Balet Sibiu in 2017.
Career highlights include dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, dancing one of the three odaliques from Le Corsaire, and dancing alongside Evgenia Obraztsova in Swan Lake.
Since joining Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Alisa has toured internationally to Luxembourg and South Korea as well as touring with the company in Romania.
Alisa has modeled for dance photographers in New York City, Boston, Tel Aviv and Berlin. In New York, she had the opportunity to work with Kenneth Edwards, Luis Pons, Steven Vandervelden, and many others. She has also worked with Gene Schiavone who is the resident photographer for American Ballet Theatre. With Phil Free in Berlin in 2014. In Tel Aviv, she got the opportunity to model for a “ballet meets fashion” article that was published in Primadonna Magazine in 2017. She was invited as a guest artist at Long Island Ballet Company and she was also a part of Chad Valley’s “Arms Away” music video in 2015.

Alisa loves writing, listening to music, and traveling to learn about new places, people, and cultures. She speaks Russian fluently because both her mother and father are from Saint Petersburg, Russia.
