Introducing Kenichi Murata
Born in Kanagawa, Japan, Kenichi began training ballet at the age of 4 years old as his parents are both ballet dancers. Kenichi trained at the Suzuki Classic Ballet Academy in Japan until the age of sixteen and then moved to Germany to complete his professional training at Akademie des Tanzes Mannheim until age of nineteen.
Kenichi worked with Baydisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Germany and then joined Teatrul de Balet Sibiu in 2014.
His career highlights include Jester in ‘Swan Lake’, Blue Bird in ‘Sleeping Beauty’, Alain in ‘La Fille Mal Gardee’, ‘Impetus’ (C:Aleisha Gardner), Fritz in ‘The Nutcracker’, Mirliton and Russian dance from ‘The Nutcracker’, Satanella pas de deux, Autumn pas de trois ‘Anotimpurile’ (C:Aleisha Gardner), Peasant pas de deux from ‘Giselle’, Harlequinade pas de deux, Seven beauty solo from ‘Class Concert’, Butler/Majordomul from ‘Straussiana, Magedaveya in ‘La bayadere’.
Kenichi has toured with the company to Luxembourg, Italy and France and is also skilled in Spanish and Character dance.
