Introducing Mariona Carrasco
Mariona was born in Barcelona, Spain, and started ballet at the age of eleven. She graduated at Centre de Dansa de Catalunya, with Joan Boix and Roser Muñoz as teachers and directors. Mariona performed in The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Swan Lake among other ballets with CDC and participated in summer intensives such as Ibstage or Valencia Endanza.
Mariona joined Teatrul de Balet Sibiu in 2017 dancing in ballets like La Bayadere, Paquita, Straussiana, Four Seasons, and her featured roles include Clara, Doll and Mirlitons in The Nutcracker and pas de trois in Paquita. She has toured with the company to Luxemburg, South Korea and different cities around Romania.

Mariona loves spending time with her family and friends, discovering new places (even if she is scared about flying) and acting (she appeared in a French documentary called “Progressio”). She likes studying and learning new things and now is coursing a Psychology degree online.
