Introducing Razvan Iacob
Born in Roman, Romania, Razvan began to dance at the age of seven, where his teacher saw his natural ability and lines and encouraged his parents to take him to Iasi to join the Colegiul National de Arta Octav Bancila Iasi.
Razvan then moved to Spain and continued his professional training at the Instituto Superior de danza Alicia Alonso and danced with the company Ballet de Camara de Madrid, after which he joined Teatrul de Balet Sibiu and danced numerous soloist roles.
He was the winner of the 1st Prize in the Regional Ballet Competition in Iasi, Romania. Winner of the National Dance Competition of Castellon, Spain. Two times winner of the National Classical Dance Competition in Madrid, Spain.
Career highlights include, Albrecht in Giselle, Escamillo in Suite from Carmen, pas de trois in Paquita, pas de trois in Swan Lake, Prince in The Nutcracker, Chaplin pas de deux in Straussiana, Levin in Anna Karenina, Cinderella pas de deux choreography by Mihai Babuska. Razvan has been invited as a guest artist at Opera Brasov Romania, Ballet Lupe (Benicarlo), Centro de Danca do Porto and at Gala Joven de Bailado en Oporto, and to Salzburg to perform with the United Dance Company ‘Colors of Dance’ tour within Germany and Austria..

Razvan likes to spend time with his wife, watching series and movies on Netflix, playing video games and cooking.
He was one of the models for a ballet book called “Apreciacion y practica en torno a la escuela cubada de ballet” by Maria Cristina Alvarez.
He speaks Romanian, Spanish, English and Portuguese. Razvan also taught myself how to sew and has made various costumes for some of the choreographies at Teatrul de Balet Sibiu. He is the substitute ballet teacher at Teatrul de Balet Sibiu.
