Introducing Camille Texier
Born in 2000 in Grasse, in the South of France Camille decided to start ballet at the age of 7 after her mother took her to see a performance. She was dancing 3 or 4 hours a week until the age of 11 when she entered a group working 13 hours of dance classes per week including ballet, contemporary dance, drama and more. During her years in France, between 2008 and 2015, Camille participated to many school performances as well as national and international ballet competitions during which she obtained several prizes. She also attended the summer course at the Academy Princesse Grace in Monaco in July 2015.
When she was only 14, Camille left her home and family in France to move to Germany where she started to study at the Ballett Akademie der Hochschüle für Musik und Theater in Munich. After a first year as a junior student, she became a bachelor student at the ballet academy. After 3 years of bachelor studies she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Diploma and graduated from the ballet academy.
During her 4 years at the ballet academy in Munich, Camille performed often, with a highlight of dancing the Heinz Bosl Matinees at the Bayerisches Staatsoper (Bavarian State Opera).
After graduating in July 2019, she joined the Teatrul de Balet Sibiu.

Camille loves music, riding a bike, rabbits, spending time with friends, summer time and skiing. Her favorite food is pasta. Her favorite ballet is Spartacus. She also loves to choreograph classical and neo-classical pieces. She can speak French but also English and Italian fluently and a bit of German.
