Introducing Lorena Negrea

Born in 1993 in Râmnicu Vâlcea, România, Lorena started dancing at the age of 3. In 2012 she graduated „Floria Capsali” Choreography High School in Bucharest and in 2015 she graduated the University of Science and Arts Gheorghe Cristea – Choreography section.

During the High School she attended intensive training workshops that includes: Christina Hamel-classical ballet, Sergiu Stefansky-classical ballet, Massimo Gerardi-modern dance, Paul Boss-Balanchine Trust, and later she was invited to train with Tokyo Ballet Company. After participating at several National Ballet Competitions she was awarded in 2008, in Constanța, with – 3rd place, 2010 Bucharest-2nd place, 2011 Timisoara-1st place, 2012 Iași-1st place and also in 2011 she qualified for YAGP Finals in France.

In 2012 she joined Bucharest National Opera House, and since 2015 she also danced with Iași National Opera House and Sibiu Ballet Theatre.

As principal dancer, she performed in: „Anna Karenina”, „Swan Lake”, „Peer Gynt”, „Paquita”, „In the middle somewhat elevated”, „Opus73”, „Romeo and Juliet”, and she was also invited as a guest artist in Royal Ballet Gala Estonia 2014, Gala WBC Sibiu Romania 2015, Gala of the Stars Bucharest Romania 2015, Gala Timișoara National Opera House 2015, Ballet International Festival Siracusa, Italy 2015, Linear Ciak Theatre Milan, Italy, Gala of the Stars Bucharest Romania 2016, Seara de balet 2018, Bielefeld Ballet Gala 2018.
