Introducing Misato Isogami

Born in Ibaraki, Japan, Misato starting dancing at the age of 4 years old after watching a live stage production of Paquita the ballet. Misato moved to London, England where she completed her professional studies at the English National Ballet School.

Misato danced with the Birmingham Royal Ballet for the UK tour of Cinderella, and also danced with the English National Ballet at the London Coliseum in The Nutcracker.

Career highlights include performing Satanella Grand Pas de deux, at the final performance at English National Ballet School and again at the BBC Young Dancer Competition Grand Final at Sadler’s Wells, ‘Princess Aurora’, My First Sleeping Beauty, Rotaryrotatory (choreography by McNally), performed with Royal Ballet in Japan.

Misato is a semi-finalist of Varna Ballet Competition 2018 and was a finalist and won the ‘Theatre Special Prize’ at 5th Beijing International Ballet and Choreography competition.”

Since joining Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Misato has performed soloist roles such as Clara in The Nutcracker, the lead girl in Paquita. She guested at the International Ballet Gala, Sibiu, dancing pas de deux from Flower Festival in Genzano, also at Gala Revolve Dance 2018, Bucharest, dancing pas de deux from Diana and Acteon and soloist shade in La Bayadere.

Misato loves travelling and spending time with family and friends. She has a dog called Chappy. She is studying about human science online university.
